IDMC we invited in 2019 to headline a concert at the Bridge Community Church in leeds after members of the pastorial team saw John and the choir in action at Leeds university early in 2019. Two years on, the choir find themselves traveling up the A1 in the midst of a fuel crisis joining people struggling to get fuel, passing all the service stations with their “No Fuel” signs.The team made it to the amazing church complex in the heart of Leeds

IDMC’s return to venues continued with their second in the series of “CONCERTS ARE BACK’ Friends reunited event, held this time at the Pizza Express, the pleasantry in Chelsea. This very intimate venue saw John, Dayna, Clive and first time drummer for IDMC Nathan share a very small stage with 8 of IDMC’s best on a lovely summers evening. With the whole country on lockdown and the major scare of Covid-19 controlling every one’s lives, there was a need for people to hit the release button to let off some of the pressure of the current situation. Musicians and artists in general have found their income dry right up and bookings and events have been "locked off" in the lock down. August 2020 saw many of the strict restrictions start to be eased, and opportunities for groups and singers to come

With the lock down in London coming to an end, and the chance of gigs coming back to town, John’s agent and good friend Graeme Maile approached john offering him and IDMC their first gig which would be billed in from of a live audience. You know John, He jumped at the chance, but what made the gig even more special was that it was going to be held at a venue which was attached to his old secondary school. As

John & IDMC’s second lockdown full live concert for transmission across the airways was for the Christian organisation Spring Harvest. IDMC have been associated with spring harvest for the past 10 years, doing concerts in Minehead as well as working with them over many years at the summer resort in France, LPO. This time there were no journeys past Stonehenge, on the A305, there were no big worship audiences in the big top, or the always lively audience eagerly anticipating the late

Well it came, we saw, it lashed…. funny to be doing a blog on myself but hey here we go, So we returned to our favourite south London venue, The Hideaway to create more memories and we certainly did. The agenda was to celebrate 25 years of Idmc gospel choir, to take songs from 8 albums and create a musical journey and share the history of IDMC since it’s conception in 1994 up till now. Helping me were 2 choirs, a reunited
